ProgrammeThe scientific basis of physical activity across the life span is an important domain in health care. As the economics of health care has become increasingly stringent, scientific evidence in the complex interaction of physical activity and health care will be a prerequisite. Scientifically based and specifically targeted approaches are critical to maximize conservative treatment effectiveness and minimize progression of dysfunction. For the future it is necessary to develop, implement and evaluate clever concepts which are suitable to raise the portion of physical acitvity in the everyday life of populations and getting people to more physically active lifestyles. Therefore intervention strategies must be directed at the social-structural level and at specific settings as well as at the individual directly. Besides it is essential to comprise international experiences and perspectives in particular and to link it with national contexts. The programme puts a strong emphasis on how to conceptualize, implement, and evaluate interventional strategies for the promotion of physical activity through the participation of students in work projects. The internship i.e., between the 2nd and 3rd semester should be spent abroad, to provide students with a broader spectrum of experiences. Prof. Dr. A. Rütten Geschäftsführender Direktor |
