ProgrammeThe Master of European Studies is a one year postgraduate program. It was founded in 1998 in cooperation with the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt) and the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft. The objective was to meet the increasing demand for competent junior staff with specialist knowledge in EU affairs. The Master of European Studies at ZEI is offered in cooperation with the Philosophische Fakultät of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University of Bonn.On the basis of highest methodological and teaching standards ZEI’s Master of European Studies trains motivated young graduates, who plan a career in EU- or national institutions, International Organizations, NGO’s or national/multinational companies. The English taught program welcomes graduates from up to 19 nations per year. Supporting your career is our mission. ZEI’s Career Development Program includes an application training, a coaching in groups and trainings on the EU-Concours and similar entry competitions. After the completion of the program, the Philosophische Fakultät of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn bestows upon the Master-students the degree of a Master of European Studies. Target audienceInterested students from anywhere in the world can apply for the post-graduate course of studies, who show a strong commitment to European affairs and who explain their motivation to study European Studies in Bonn convincingly.Successful applicants to ZEI’s Master of European Studies rely on two letters of recommendation, at least one from a University professor. Fluency in English is required as well as good knowledge of a second official language of the EU. Fluency in other languages is an advantage. |

Our ServiceThe Master program has its own Master office. A Program Coordinator and assistants take care of the management of the program. They are the first port of call for the students during the entire study period. Rooms in dorms can be organized through the Master office. Students also receive a comprehensice information package before their arrival. |
OrganisationThe Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI) is a research institute at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn. It was founded in 1995, and since then the institute has been engaged in:* Future-oriented research * Political consultancy * Events that link science with its practical application * Graduate education and mid-career training Thus, ZEI contributes to finding solutions to unsolved issues of the European Integration and the shaping of Europe’s international role. |
