The consulting market has finally started to take off again. Many consulting companies are now looking for qualified young graduates with international exposure. The requirements of a Global economy have even filtered down into most organizations in many countries around the world. Furthermore, there is an additional task put upon many contemporary managers: In-house Consultancy.

Responding to this need, the University of Applied Sciences in Offenburg offers a full-time MBA program focusing on consulting. The program is aptly called MBA in International Business Consulting and prepares you in 15 months for a leading position in international management and consulting.

Practical relevance

Students enrolled at the University of Offenburg come from more than 50 different countries, which make it one of the most international Universities in Germany.

The Graduate School offers intensive and personal attention to foreign students, including excursions to companies, tutoring and housing services.

In the third semester students will prepare their Master Thesis usually being an in-company project. In many cases this internship is a good opportunity for further employment with the company.

The University of Applied Sciences offers a variety of 19 degree programs, four of them being international Master programs. The number of students has increased steadily, at present about 3000 students are enrolled in the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg - almost 12% are international students.

The University of Applied Sciences Offenburg is an important and well known institution in the German education system with close relationships to the industry. During the almost 40 year old history, many prominent managers of big companies graduated from the University. One of them is Jürgen E. Schrempp, former CEO of DaimlerChrysler.

The MBA program International Business Consulting takes place at the Gengenbach Campus of the University.

Study in Gengenbach

The IBC program is located at the Gengenbach Campus of the University, in a historic building, a former monastery.

The pittoresque town of Gengenbach with a population of 12,000 is situated at the foothills of the Black forest in the middle of a famous wine region 11 km away from Offenburg. Its unique city center featuring half-timbered houses is recognized as a historical monument and attracts tourists from all over Europe.
