"Managing with(in) Europe" means on the one hand all the operational and strategic activities necessary for companies working within Europe. "Managing with(in) Europe" on the other hand relates to the challenge for companies outside of Europe to do business with Europe. What makes us different?

Emphases/CurriculumBe exceptionalLearn state of the art methodologies, economic theory and practice as well as key competences within 15 course weeks. Attend other classes to expand your knowledge beyond management. In accordance with the EU guidelines for the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), a total of 60 credit points is achieved by completing the MBA study programme. Flexible part-time option The modular concept of the courses facilitates flexible study structures. You may extend your studies over up to four years while remaining in your job. Like the full-timers, you start the programme in mid-October. During the study period you complete the required 15 courses, of which 11 courses are compulsory and 4 may be chosen freely from our elective courses. Following the successful completion of the courses, you have three months in which to write a final thesis to complete the programme in October. Flexible full-time option The programme starts in mid-October. | Admission criteria 1. First degree University studies with the degree I. Diplom/Magister Artium/Staatsexamen II. Bachelor/Master which could have been acquired at an university, an university of applied science or an university of cooperative education as long as the applicant can proof that the degree of the university of cooperative education is equal to the other university degrees. All other degrees such as those from inhouse programmes are not accepted. 2. Work experience At least one year work experience is required. 3. Language requirements For all applicants with a nationality from a non-English speaking country the TOEFL-test is required: Paper-based test: minimum 500 points Computer-based test: minimum 173 points Internet-based test: minimum 61 points 4. GMAT A valid GMAT score is required. The better the score the higher the chance to be accepted in the programme. 5. Interview with the director of the programme Subjects of evaluation are the candidate’s motivation, his knowledge of economic issues as well as the general personal impression. |

OrganisationThe university was founded in 1948 with support from the French state. Saarland University was proclaimed as a "European University" in the early 50s and has had a strong European orientation since that time. In 1951, the Europa-Institut was founded as a symbol of that orientation and as early as the 50s, many students came from abroad to study in Saarbrücken.
