Practical relevance

The Kellogg-WHU program puts strong emphasis on teamwork and personal development. It follows that study groups are an essential part of the EMBA experience. These groups of five-six students usually meet in many different and innovative ways to discuss current coursework and exchange real life experiences that only enhance the learning experience of the candidates. Many class projects are assigned to study groups, and require significant teamwork. In assigning study groups, every effort is made to provide a diversity of internationality, backgrounds and skills among the participants and create opportunities for peer tutoring. Structured and personalized coaching sessions throughout the program also play an integral role in furthering individual development in order to manage more effectively.

Learning Methods

Our teaching methodology relies for a good part of the program on the case study method, allowing students to work in interdisciplinary groups to discuss, debate and find solutions to real-life business problems. A mix of other methods is used to draw on the participants’ own professional experience, creating an interactive learning environment and promoting an exchange of ideas between students and faculty.

Int the cozy old town, cafés, taverns, and beer gardens attract locals and tourists alike. Enthusiasts of more intellectual pursuits enjoy a varied cultural program with theater, fortress plays, culture factory, concerts, galleries, and museums.

A remarkable highlight of the program is the two-week residential session on site at the Allen Center of the Kellogg School in Chicago.
