Programme

The IMBA program is a Dual Master´ s Program offered by the International Grdaute Center and the International Business School Alliance (IBSA).

The students spend one term in Bremen and the other two terms either in Valencia, Marseille, Moscow or London.

On successful completion of the course students will hold two master degrees, awarded by two universities. In term two and three the students choose one of the areas of specialization:
  • “International Finance“ in Marseille,
  • “International Marketing“ in Valencia,
  • “International Management in Transition
  • Economies” in Moscow, “ E-Business“ in London or
  • “Entrepreneurship“ in Bremen.
The IMBA program goes beyond simply addressing trade issues between countries by encouraging critical analysis of what makes a business competitive in the international arena.

Target audience

Aims and Objectives

The programme aims to equip graduates
  • for leadership in businesses where global issues have significant implication for the decision-making process and outcomes,
  • for positions in which awareness of economic and cultural diversity is important as professional, managerial and entrepreneurial skills,
  • for positions where moving and quickly adapting to new environments is essential,
  • for positions that require at least bilingual skills.

  • Degree relevant or cognate to the Business Management
  • TOEFL (560 points) or IELTS (6.5 points)
  • One year professional experience

Currently, Hochschule Bremen has approx. 8500 students from more than 100 countries in more than 50 degree programmes, covering the areas of business, engineering, science, economics, social science and the humanities.

Depending on the course, degree-seeking students are awarded the traditional German academic degree (‘Diplom’) or a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Hochschule Bremen is well know for its international approach, with 258 university partnership programmes world-wide, as well for its close co-operation between the University and regional industry.

UAS Bremen is accredited as a national higher education institution and has received numerous awards, including one named Best-Practice University in 2000 by the CHE, the Centre for University Development; it was honoured by the Association of Sponsors of German Arts and Science for its instituted reforms, won the Marketing Prize "Highlight 2001" from the Marketing-Club Bremen and the DAAD-Prize for International University Marketing in 2000.
